Project Engineer / Data Scientist - Supply Networks (m/f/d)

Your tasks

• A wide range of tasks from data engineering to technically demanding data analyses
• Handling asset management projects with a focus on aging utility infrastructure
• Participation in the preparation of expert reports and concepts on drinking water supply and rehabilitation strategies
• Creation of statistical forecast models, e.g. for the future water demand of municipalities in the field of tension between demographic and climatic development
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Creation of customized solution concepts and participation in product development for asset management solutions of Fichtner IT Consulting

Your profile

• Completed studies in engineering, urban water management, data science or comparable
• At least 3 years of professional experience in general in connection with the utility industry or with asset management in particular
• Experience in structuring, analyzing, and visualizing data
• Programming skills in SQL and experience with relational database management systems (Postgres, SAP HANA, Oracle)
• Special understanding of statistics, machine learning or optimization issues desirable
• Experience with programming with R or Python is an advantage
• Fluent German skills
