As renewables grow and electrification accelerates, short-term power markets become more important — and harder to navigate. Good trading decisions help integrate wind and solar, unlock flexibility, and keep the energy system efficient.

Tasks

You'll build forecasting models and trading strategies for European short-term power markets. Rich data environment, short feedback loops — you get to own it from ideation to production.

We're a small but experienced team that moves fast and ships. There's plenty of room to learn but also shape the products and even the direction of the company. You'll also work together with trading desks to understand their needs and improve the products — not as a chore, but because that's where some of the best learning happens.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in statistics. We value very strong stats/econometrics fundamentals more than familiarity with any particular model classes. Background in time series modelling is a plus.
• Fluent in Python and/or R. You don't need to be a software engineer, but you should be able to write clean, working code that others can build on.
• Postgraduate degree in a quantitative field. Could
  be statistics, econometrics, physics, mathematics, or social sciences
  with a strong quantitative focus. We care more about how you think than
  what you studied.
• Genuine interest in energy markets. Prior experience is a strong plus, but curiosity and willingness to go deep matters more.
• Agency, drive, and judgment. We need people who take ownership and push things forward — with the sense to know when good enough is good enough, and when it isn't.

We're open on experience level. If you're earlier in your career but
have strong fundamentals and genuine enthusiasm, that matters more than
years on a CV.
