HelloFresh is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our International Physical Product Analytics team. This role focuses on building and maintaining product data assets, and turning this data into actionable insights to guide operational and product decisions.

What you’ll do

• Physical Product Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Analyze data related to physical products, including performance, usage, and operational metrics, to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.
• Metric Definition & Tracking: Define, implement, and maintain key product and operational metrics to monitor the performance of our physical products and support business decision-making.
• Data Model Development & Maintenance: Design, create, and maintain data structures and tables that support key physical product and operational metrics. Ensure data is accurate, consistent, and readily available for analysis and reporting.
• Reporting & Dashboarding: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that communicate physical product performance to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, operations teams, and other business stakeholders to understand analytics needs and translate them into actionable insights
• Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct exploratory analyses to answer urgent questions about physical product performance and support informed business decisions.
• Data Quality Awareness: Ensure the reliability of product data by identifying inconsistencies or gaps and working with data teams to maintain accuracy.
• Automation: Improve efficiency in the Product Operations space through AI applications or other automation opportunities.

What you’ll bring

The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical skills, analytical thinking, and effective communication.

• Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and transformation.
• Familiarity with building and managing tables and data structures within a data warehousing environment is crucial (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks)
• Familiarity with data transformation tools (e.g., dbt).
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) for scheduling and managing data pipelines.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git/GitHub) for collaborative code development and management.
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau).
• Solid understanding of data modeling principles and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have:

• Experience with a scripting language (e.g., Python) for data processing and automation.
