Since 2013, we have been selling selected books and consumer goods on the Amazon marketplace, focusing on food, natural cosmetics, household products, and other high-demand categories. Many of our products are Amazon bestsellers. Our team consists of more than 70 colleagues.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d) to take our data platforms and pipelines to the next level.
As a Senior Data Engineer at Eberlein Kunz, you will be a core member of our Data & Analytics team and play a key role in building the foundation for data-driven decision-making across the company.
Your Role
You design, build, and operate modern data pipelines in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric, ensuring high data quality, efficiency, and scalability. Your work enables reliable analytics, reporting, and machine learning across the organization.
Aufgaben
- Design, build, operate, and continuously improve Azure data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric
- Ensure data quality, completeness, and reproducibility
- Implement incremental data loading processes to improve efficiency
- Develop robust monitoring, logging, and error-handling systems
- Set up and maintain test, staging, and production environments
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Data & Analytics and Data Analysts to provide data for Power BI dashboards and machine learning models
- Contribute to building a scalable data architecture (e.g. CI/CD, dbt, Airflow, Fabric Pipelines)
- Document, optimize, and cost-optimize data workflows
- Build and maintain API-based data integrations
Qualifikation
- 5+ years of experience in building and operating data pipelines or data platforms
- Strong knowledge of cloud data services
- Solid experience with SQL and Python, including ETL and ELT processes and automation
- Experience with incremental data loading and delta processes
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts, including Bronze, Silver and Gold layers, and data quality management
- Experience integrating data for Power BI and working with semantic layers
- Proven track record in monitoring, logging and performance optimization
- Structured and self driven working style with a strong team orientation
- Fluent business level English
Nice to have
- Advanced knowledge of Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory or Synapse
- Experience in e commerce or Amazon environments
- Experience with API based data extraction, Openbridge and CI or CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
- Interest in integrating machine learning solutions
- Passion for data driven business development
- Fluent business level German
