We are currently looking for a skilled & passionate Senior Frontend Engineer (m/f/d) to become part of our team onsite in Hamburg or Berlin. You will be responsible for designing and implementing intuitive interfaces, driving technical excellence in our frontend stack, and ensuring seamless integration with backend systems. In this role, you will combine hands-on coding with architectural guidance and mentoring, making a direct impact on the quality and usability of SCAYLE Payments’ products.

What you will do

• Architect, develop, and maintain Scayle payments’ unified operations and developer portal
• Collaborate with backend teams (Symfony) to integrate APIs
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce frontend best practices
• Implement modern build and deployment workflows
• Collaborate with product managers to translate wireframes into implementations
• Work with continuous Deployments (Gitlab Pipelines, AWS Elastic Container Service) and monitor applications with industry-standard tools (Datadog)

Who you are

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Experience with Vue.js, React, or Angular
• Familiarity with templating engines used in PHP frameworks (Blade, Twig, Smarty, etc.)
• Expertise with CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, etc.)
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data
• Knowledge of frontend performance optimization techniques
• Understanding of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes
• Passionate about writing well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code, actively keeping the quality of the code base in check
• Ready to work in an English-speaking environment
