You’ll join a focused and highly skilled team of language designers, compiler engineers, and functional programming experts. Your Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and integrate new functionality into the Compose language and framework using Haskell

• Extend and enhance the Dhall compiler with new language constructs and adapt related tooling

• Actively contribute to the design and development of the language, its components, infrastructure, and standard library

• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and the continuous improvement of our development practices

Your Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field with a strong academic record, or equivalent practical experience

• Deep expertise in functional programming, particularly with statically typed languages—Haskell experience is essential

• Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and optimizing compilers and/or interpreters

• A pragmatic mindset: you enjoy exploring elegant solutions but also like to see your code run in production

• Either professional experience with functional programming in industry, or a strong portfolio of open-source or personal projects that show your capabilities—we care more about impact than years
