This position is based in Germany, Preferably Munich / Berlin (remote also available)
As a Senior Hybrid Mobile Developer, you will take ownership of our mobile apps and SDKs in a highly regulated Know-Your-Customer (KYC) industry. This role involves modernizing legacy products, driving engineering excellence, and ensuring top-quality delivery in a high-impact mobile development team.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, modernize, and maintain iOS and Android mobile apps and SDKs
Take full ownership of a legacy product, ensuring long-term maintainability and high-quality standards.
Implement an automation-first approach to mobile testing, reducing reliance on manual QA.
Collaborate with UX designers to improve and optimize user experience.
Work with backend engineers to debug complex use cases.
Establish and maintain structured CI/CD pipelines for reliable delivery.
Contribute to knowledge-sharing, peer code reviews, and raise engineering excellence within the team.
Preferred Experience
Proven senior-level expertise in both iOS and Android development:
iOS: Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager
Android: Java, Kotlin, Gradle, XML-based UI, Jetpack Compose
Experience in modernizing and maintaining legacy codebases.
Strong sense for delivering excellent user experiences with a structured, quality-first approach.
Familiarity with CI/CD and GitLab pipelines for mobile repositories.
Hands-on experience with mobile test automation frameworks.
Bonus skills:
Working in highly regulated industries (banking, telecom, government, critical infrastructure)
Knowledge of Python
Android development for custom hardware
German language (not required, but a plus)
