The Senior Linux Systems Engineer (m/f/d) role is based in Berlin , but can be done almost fully Remote, if you're located in Berlin/Germany.

Aufgabengebiet

• Build, administer, and support Linux systems across multiple distributions (RHEL-based and Debian-based)
• Apply security best practices and system hardening techniques
• Automate system configuration and management using Ansible
• Operate within virtualized environments, including VMware
• Configure and manage Linux host firewalls (iptables, nftables, firewalld, ufw)
• Deploy and maintain reverse proxies (e.g. HAProxy)
• Manage SELinux policies and identity management systems
• Implement monitoring and logging using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki
• Optional: Contribute to Kubernetes-based environments

Anforderungsprofil

• Strong foundation in Linux system administration and support
• Experience with multiple Linux distributions and virtualization platforms
• Proficiency in Ansible for automation
• Knowledge of system security, firewalls, and SELinux
• Familiarity with identity management and network fundamentals
• Experience with containerization and monitoring tools
• Bonus: LDAP, FreeIPA, Entra ID experience
• Structured, proactive working style and strong problem-solving skills
• Fluent English communication skills, German is a plus
