The role
We’re hiring a Senior Research Operations Specialist to lead and optimize the processes that empower HelloFresh’s Tech team to deliver impactful insights. As a senior member of our growing Research Platform team within the Insights & Experience Innovation department, you will be responsible for driving key initiatives across the organization, working closely with researchers, product teams, designers, and commercial stakeholders. You streamline operations, expand research capabilities, and foster cross-functional collaboration. Your work will directly impact HelloFresh’s ability to generate better customer experiences, shape product decisions, and ultimately drive business success.
This is a high-impact role where you can drive the operational strategy for a diverse range of research activities, including global studies, democratized research programs, tool consolidation, knowledge management, AI innovations, and more. What you’ll do
- ResearchOps Consultation: Serve as the go-to person for operational needs. Consult researchers and stakeholders on how to optimize their democratized studies, given your strong methodological sense and ability to guide research scope based on shifting inputs such as project constraints, goals, or biases.
- Champion AI Advancements: Explore the use of AI to streamline processes, such as research planning, data synthesis, moderated methods, competitor reviews, synthetic audiences, chatbots, knowledge repositories, and more. Collaborate with UX and Product Leadership to educate and integrate AI solutions into broader product and design processes.
- Scale Research Programs and Infrastructure: Translate ambiguous inputs and conflicting cross-functional needs into scalable systems, new recruitment pathways, and improved ways of working – all to make research run with increased speed, ease, and impact.
- Uplevel Participant Recruitment: Lead the day-to-day execution of global participant recruitment for studies across multiple regions, meeting the legal, cultural, and logistical requirements necessary, and efficient incentive distribution. Design solutions to capture tricky audiences with greater ease.
- Proactively Drive Operational Excellence: Leaddiscovery workshops to proactively identify operational gaps, forecast resource needs, and define the team’s strategic roadmap.
- Enable Research Quality and Consistency: Develop templates, guidelines, and toolkits that promote shared definitions and rigor across various research teams. Refine and codify processes for project intake, prioritization, roadmapping, knowledge sharing, and more across the range of possible research use cases for varied research teams.
- Manage Research Tools and Platforms: Oversee licensing, onboarding, spend, and access of research tools and vendors (e.g., survey, recruitment, repository systems, etc).
- Expand Research Influence and Adoption: Uncover new users to benefit from research programs. Advocate and onboard these teams into research systems by understanding their unique use cases, pairing them with the right tools, and communicating research value.
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of experience in research, research operations or a related field, with a strong focus on execution and process optimization.
- Historical Impact: A successful track record of crafting impactful programs and delivering business-critical systems and work, at scale
- Research Expertise: A deep understanding of researchers and research workflows - enough to develop an informed research POV.
- Command of Research Tooling: familiarity with varied research tools, including their technical merits, limitations, and how to leverage them creatively (e.g. Sprig, Rally, UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, QuestionPro, etc).
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and drive them to completion on time and with high quality.
- Collaboration & Communication: Partner effectively across disciplines and seniority, managing US and CET time zones. Resolve ambiguous or conflicting inputs into a shared definition and vision.
- Initiative & Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and resolving issues with autonomy.
- Strategic Innovation: Experience and passion for experimenting with modern tooling (AI orchestration, API usage, workflow automation tooling) to streamline and simplify design & XFN workflows
Bonus Qualifications
- Speaks English, German, and/or Spanish, Danish, Norwegian, Italian, French, or Dutch.
- Experience in other UX disciplines and UX tools (e.g. Figma)
