Job description
As a Software Engineer- Backend Java in the Sales Orders Engineering team, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining robust Order Processing services and infrastructure. These services are critical for reliably processing orders for all Zalando customers, including Fashion Store and Lounge. You will drive continuous improvement by proactively challenging proposals, sharing your expertise, and providing constructive feedback to colleagues. You will lead projects end-to-end, from initial concept through implementation, collaborating closely with principal engineers and product managers. This involves creating clear technical narratives and contributing significantly to Technical Solution Design documents. Your strong sense of ownership will establish you as a key resource within the team's technical and business domain., * Get involved in important projects that shape how Zalando manages its customers orders.
- Connect with stakeholders to understand the business side and help create tailored, scalable solutions.
- Oversee the whole product development process, from discovery to execution, adjusting focus as needed. Work closely with your teammates to tackle these complex challenges.
- Take architectural decisions, contribute to the prioritization topics, spearhead the documentation and learnings from incidents
- Ensure system-reliability engineering and technical compliance
Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, * You understand the importance of clean and high quality code, take a rational and pragmatic approach to decision making and software development.
- You are an experienced Java engineer
- You've got experience with databases and know your way around SQL.
- You understand microservices, event-driven systems, and how to design APIs.
- You're self-driven, proactive, and always looking to improve.
- Great communication skills and experience driving innovation across multiple premises
