We translate the internal and external challenges facing a digital grid operator into strategic initiatives, architectures, and projects. Information and IT security is a core requirement for operating a critical infrastructure. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to actively shape security where it really matters.
These tasks await you:

• Development of technical security standards, concepts and procedures and support in their implementation and enforcement in IT
• Design of IT security concepts and architectures including the selection of suitable technologies, products and service providers in accordance with Stromnetz Berlin's cybersecurity strategy
• Support for IT projects through the review of IT and reference architectures and the development of solution designs
• Independent responsibility for projects with a focus on technical security solutions
• Advising IT operations and IT projects as well as the CISO Office on technical cybersecurity issues
• Your other tasks include:
• supporting risk and threat analyses with your technical expertise
• the continuous transfer of knowledge of security best practice approaches in IT security to IT operations
• the regular review of technological developments and trends regarding IT security architecture

We are looking for someone with:

• an IT technical or comparable degree.
• Several years of professional experience and extensive knowledge in the field of IT security, preferably as a cybersecurity engineer, IT security consultant or in a similar position.
• technical and methodological knowledge in key IT and security technologies, such as application security, infrastructure and network security, endpoint security, identity and access management, cryptography and cloud security.
• Knowledge of relevant security standards and norms as well as security best practices, such as NIST, ISO/IEC 2700x, BSI C5, CIS, CSA, OWASP.
• Experience in relevant products and services in the field of IT security.
• Assertiveness, reflectiveness, conscientiousness and resilience.
• Hands-on mentality, teamwork skills and the ability to work together across topics.
• Plus but not a must
• Certifications according to CISSP, TISP, ISSAP, CCSP are advantageous
• Experience in managing projects
• Experience in setting up or operating IT security solutions
• Knowledge of regulatory security requirements in the KRITIS environment
