Was Sie erwartet
The Tesla’s Reliability & Test Engineering Team is responsible for verifying and validating the thermal, electrical, and mechanical reliability of components and systems throughout our product line. Our team also supports field failure investigations and manufacturing change control. We are seeking a multi-faceted Sr. Test Engineer to support our dynamometer test operations. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of test execution, monitoring and reporting key findings on validation, durability, field failure investigations and manufacturing change control tests.

- Manage reliability testing with various drive unit programs, ensure timely execution of tests
- Maintain high dynamometer test uptime and responsible for proper routine maintenance
- Overseeing and assisting with the set-up and execution of thermal, electric-mechanical tests
- Coordinating test demands to meet the needs of multiple teams and programs
- Collecting and interpreting data from a variety of data acquisition systems
- Designing and improving mechanical and electrical equipment and infrastructure
- Conducting failure analysis for design failures by providing detailed risks assessments, test summaries, teardown reports, pictures and data logs
- Design, debug, and troubleshoot test equipment
- Performing hands-on tasks to complete the job
Was mitzubringen ist
- 5+ years of working experience in a test engineering role
- Background in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical engineering
- Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical tools such as volt meters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
- Programming experience and an interest in scripting and automation, post-processing of large data sets. Proficiency with Python is a plus
- Familiarity with High-voltage electrical systems (AC and DC) and CAN communications protocol
- Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition systems
