Talents Community - Postdoc, PhD Student (f/m/d) for Polymers in Energy Applications at HIPOLE Jena
Your Tasks
- Synthesis and characterization of novel molecules and polymers for use in energy storage and conversion devices (depending on the selected topic area)
- Assembly and electrochemical characterization of polymer redox flow batteries, polymer-based thin-film batteries, and encapsulated solar cells
- Summary, presentation and publication of the results (in English language)
- Successful master's degree in chemistry or a comparable field of study - for PhD Student Position
- PhD in polymer chemistry, electrochemistry, or a related field relevant to the chosen topic - for Postdoc Position
- Extensive and proven experience in organic chemistry and/or polymer chemistry
- Experience with analytical methods for polymer characterization
- General computer skills, including Windows and Office
- Very good knowledge of electrochemistry
- Very good written and spoken English skills
You demonstrate a high level of motivation, initiative, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to familiarize yourself with a wide range of tasks. You are characterized by your teamwork skills, reliability, independence, and communication abilities.
You enjoy working in an interdisciplinary, international team within a diverse and dynamic work environment.
