Your Role
- Management and coordination of the AFC Controls & Testing Team.
- Personnel management: personnel planning, performance appraisal and further development of team members. This also includes the promotion of skills and talents.
- Preparation of the annual monitoring plan (Control plan) and ensuring the timely processing of control and monitoring activities.
- Definition, execution and implementation of control and monitoring activities from the control and monitoring plan
- Continuous improvement of processes and the existing control and monitoring plan.
- Improving the efficiency of existing control and monitoring activities.
- Monitoring the processing of any deficiencies and communication with the respective partner managers.
- Expansion/improvement of documentation.
- Advising specific departments in relation to the monitoring of outsourcing activities.
- Guidance and technical support for employees and cooperation partners.

Hard skills
- Several years of experience in the area of money laundering with reference to legal requirements or practical experience.
- Several years of experience in the areas of (AML) compliance, internal/external audit, and/or risk management of a financial services provider.
- Training as a bank clerk or job-specific further training, or comparable qualification with several years of professional experience in money laundering/compliance/risk management function, or in a customer-facing area of financial services
- Extensive experience and knowledge of methods and systems of systemic auditing or including carrying out gap analyses as well as defining and following up on implementation measures when gaps are identified.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (GwG, KWG, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge and experience in analysing and closing regulatory gaps, as well as experience in working with internal/external auditors.
- Several years of experience in (senior) stakeholder management.
- Experience in the preparation of adequate management reports.
- Several years of (disciplinary and technical) management experience.
- Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with various operational and sales processes and to understand process landscapes.
- Ability to work under pressure and grasp things quickly.
- Assertiveness and high motivation.
- Ability to work in a team and high level of decision-making skills.
- Ability to present complex issues in an understandable way, both verbally and in writing.
- Careful, independent and pragmatic way of working with result-oriented approaches to solution.
- Confident demeanour, excellent social skills, hands-on mentality, high self-motivation.
- Very good written and spoken English skills. Knowledge of written and spoken German is advantage.
