Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Writer to own and drive the end-to-end documentation efforts at Qdrant. This role is part of the core team and will collaborate closely with our engineers to create, maintain, and continuously improve technical documentation, guides, and tutorials.
Your work will directly impact how developers and customers adopt, integrate, and succeed with Qdrant.
Tasks
- Create, maintain, and improve Qdrant’s technical documentation, developer guides, and tutorials.
- Collaborate with core engineers to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and developer-friendly content.
- Ensure documentation is consistent, accurate, and aligned with product releases.
- Build structured learning paths and tutorials to improve onboarding and adoption.
- Proactively identify gaps in documentation and work to address them.
- Contribute to shaping Qdrant’s overall developer experience by ensuring content accessibility and usability.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer or Developer Advocate with a strong focus on technical documentation.
- Deep technical understanding, ideally with hands-on experience in backend systems, databases, or search technologies.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Experience working with graphical illustraction tools like e.g. Figma. We want to keep our documentation well-illustrated.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with engineers and product teams.
- Experience with documentation tools, static site generators, and version control (e.g., Git).
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Nice-to-Have
- Experience working at a Database or Search technology company.
- Familiarity with open-source communities and contributions.
- Knowledge of AI/ML, information retrieval, or distributed systems.
