Join our DSA team within the Agile Release Train "Hybrid Connectivity Services”, where we operate and develop Swisscom’s firewall and security platforms across our data centers. As a Network Security Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and developing the network security infrastructure that protects Swisscom’s networks and services. You will play a key role in ensuring our network platforms remain secure, reliable, and ready for the future.In this position, you’ll actively contribute to the ongoing transformation of our hybrid infrastructure. Your technical expertise, structured working style, and commitment to excellence will help us deliver first-class, high-quality solutions on time and in alignment with Swisscom’s standards.

• Ongoing operation and development of the network security platform and internet traffic security infrastructure, applying state-of-the-art technology standards

• Development and integration of new security technologies, further automation of the platform

• Opportunity to work independently and collaboratively within an agile organization

Your Skills

• IT degree (EFZ, HF, FH, or equivalent experience)

• Theoretical and practical knowledge in network security

• Experience with firewalls, IPS/IDS and security monitoring

• Experience with automation (e.g., through REST API, Ansible), scripting (Python), Linux OS management and knowledge of network technology (TCP/IP and dynamic routing, preferably BGP)

• Ability to handle stress and willingness to be on-call regularly

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and work independently

• Fluent in English (additional language such as German or French is an advantage)
