Your Mission
Responsible for bridging the Equipment and Communication product lines ensuring proper system operations for the global land live training product offering.
Acts as the main technical link between the two sub-product lines, ensuring clear communication, consistent design decisions, and fewer surprises during integration.
Actively supports design and development processes including change management according to Thales QMS.
Proactively contributes to the evolution of best development practices.
Provides new concepts and assistance to research projects. Evaluates the results and feasibility of outcomes of the R&D projects to benefit the Engineering department.
Supports the IVVQ Team with defining the test strategy and test development.
Develops a long-term vision for improving and converging interfaces between the two product lines.
Defines and documents how the two product lines interact: their functions, use cases, interfaces, and data exchanges.
Develops a clear understanding of both product lines and shares that knowledge so each team knows how the other works ("black box” view).
Guides the developers in the implementation of the software architecture to ensure it is respected and understood.
Validates software architecture choices made within a product line.
Defines the operational sequences to ensure that the integrated system works reliably (including startup sequences).
We look forward to
Master’s degree or Engineering diploma in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related technical field.
Solid hands-on experience in embedded software development, ideally acquired in an industrial or complex systems engineering environment.
Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET framework; knowledge of additional programming languages or technologies such as C/C++, Python will be considered as strong plus
Practical experience with version control and project management tools such as Git and Azure DevOps (or similar).
Familiarity with embedded software development
Familiarity with C# and .NET framework
Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Excellent communication and technical explanation skills, both verbal and written, in English (German or French is a plus).
Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and ability to unite multidisciplinary teams around robust and innovative technical solutions.
Curiosity, proactivity, and a genuine drive to contribute to the development of best engineering practices.
Experience supporting research, developing innovative concepts, or contributing to technology watch activities.
Interest in simulation, operational training, or the defense sector.
