Are you ready to lead quality assurance activities across impactful public sector projects? Do you bring solid testing experience and have a proven track record in shaping test strategies and coordinating their implementation in demanding projects? Then we should get in touch.
In our Market Unit Public Sector, we develop complex software solutions for clients such as federal offices, cantons, and public enterprises. You will be part of our team in Bern and take responsibility for ensuring quality across the software engineering lifecycle and drive the continuous improvement of our test processes. You will work closely with clients, product owners, software engineers, business analysts and fellow testers to deliver software solutions that meet the highest quality standards. Depending on the project, you may be involved in strategic planning, hands-on testing activities, or both. You will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Creating and coordinating test strategies, concepts and plans tailored to the project
• Reviewing and analyzing software requirements and user stories to ensure traceability and testability
• Overseeing and executing test activities across all levels, from functional to integration and acceptance testing
• Monitoring quality risks, progress and coverage through structured reporting
• Collaborating with all stakeholders to align on quality objectives and approaches
• Advising clients and internal teams on testing strategies, tools and process improvements
• Supporting the development and optimization of test environments and automation frameworks
• Conducting lessons learned and quality retrospectives with the project team and client
• Continuously evaluating and improving our test processes and QA practices

What we're looking for

• 5 or more years of experience in software testing, ideally with exposure to test coordination and strategic planning
• A university degree (ETH, university or university of applied sciences) in informatics or a related field is a plus
• Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager or similar are an advantage
• Experience working in agile project environments
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence and Xray
• A proactive mindset, strong communication skills and a structured working style
• A team player with the ability to lead QA topics independently
• Very good command of German and a good command of English, French is a plus
• For certain projects in the public sector, a personal security clearance (Personensicherheitsprüfung,PSP) conducted by Swiss federal or cantonal authorities may be required. Willingness to undergo this clearance is essential
