The Small Animal Surgery Service of the Department of Clinical Veterinary Medicine of the University of Bern is seeking candidates for the following position, starting January 1st, 2026 Veterinarian specialised in small animal surgery.
Tasks
- 80% clinical work in surgery with assistants, interns and students (20% OFF clinics).
- Close supervision of students (rounds, student consultation, castration project, etc.)
- Active participation in the emergency surgery system (on-call duty).
Requirements
- Preferably ECVS/ACVS certified or equivalent
- Good professional experience and solid knowledge of surgery
- Exceptional motivation for teaching
- Good language skills in French and/or German
