In our in-house design and development department, engineers and technical product designers work together to develop innovative solutions for our demanding clients.
What do technical product designers do at IWN? Technical product designers at IWN are tech-savvy and creative assistants to the engineers in our design department.

They accompany the product development process from conception and initial drawings to the first display pieces from the 3D printer and release for series production.
They use CAD software to convert complex specifications relating to technical functions and the mix of materials used in the product into three-dimensional views of designs.
They document every innovation in the product development process in technical drawings, which in turn serve as dimensional templates for the manufacture of components and the assembly of individual parts.
In the 3 ½-year apprenticeship, apprentices learn to support the development of technically functional solutions that are profitable, reliable and also sustainable.
In addition to design, apprentices also learn about quality management, production planning, sales and manufacturing.
