• You will lead a highly qualified development team technically, disciplinarily and strategically – with the goal of developing innovative security solutions that offer real protection against modern cyber threats
• You ensure that software is not only functional, but also maintainable, performant and valuable in the long term
• You proactively identify technical bottlenecks, process hurdles or quality risks and work solution-oriented to eliminate them
• You work closely with the Department Lead, other technical leads and the Product Owners to manage the focus, scope and technical feasibility of large projects
• You accompany the development from the architectural decision to the live launch – and beyond
• You actively drive your team's technical roadmap and also plan strategic investments such as reducing technical debt
• You identify personnel needs early on, support recruitment and develop your team members through continuous feedback
• You give your team clear guidance, communicate goals and expectations transparently and create a culture of trust and responsibility
• You contribute hands-on – e.g., to bug fixes or smaller features – without hindering the team’s performance or the focus on your leadership tasks

• You have successfully completed a degree in computer science, IT security or a comparable qualification
• You have several years of experience in agile software development, ideally in the IT security environment
• You have already led teams technically and organizationally – e.g., as a Tech Lead / Technical Director or Security Software Lead (m/f/d) and successfully managed complex projects
• You are familiar with agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban and know how to adapt processes so that they really help the team
• You impress with clear communication – both in technical and interpersonal areas
• You can realistically assess technical risks, effort and potential and communicate them transparently
• You have a deep understanding of modern software architectures and know when pragmatism is more important than perfection
• You work in a structured, solution-oriented manner and bring with you a high level of personal responsibility and a hands-on mentality
• You speak fluent German (at least C1) and good English (at least B2)
