Our team has many years of know-how in the areas of mobile apps, 3D visualization, computer vision, augmented and virtual reality. With creativity, our specialists design sophisticated mixed reality solutions from prototype to market-ready product. In the In-Car XR division, innovative projects for the use of mixed reality in vehicles are developed and tested. Here, for example, we deal with questions such as how interactions for use while driving should be designed and how motion sickness can be mitigated.

Your tasks in detail

  • · Conduct a comprehensive scientific literature review on the state-of-the-art research in Machine Learning-based cognitive load and motion sickness detection using Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs)

    · Develop a data processing pipeline and/or experimental setup for detecting cognitive load and motion sickness using BCI and physiological signals

    · Implement and test machine learning models to analyze EEG measurements and detect relevant cognitive and physiological states.

    · Evaluate the system using scientific methods

    · Document your procedures and findings in your master's thesis and contribute to a scientific publication

Qualifikationen

Qualifications

· Ongoing Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Neuroscience, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field

· Strong knowledge of Machine Learning, particularly in the context of EEG signal processing

· Basic experience with Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) and physiological signal processing

· Familiarity with immersive technologies (VR/AR/MR) and possibly head-mounted displays

· Initial experience with human cognition research, cognitive load assessment, or motion sickness is an advantage

· Ideally, you have experience in scientific research and conducting experimental studies

· You are highly motivated and interested in familiarizing yourself with new technologies and topics

· You impress with your strong communication and teamwork skills

· Proficiency in written and spoken German or English

· Having a class B driver's license is an advantage
