• Develop and deploy SE strategy in line with supply management and business strategy
• Deploy, set, assess and decide on the quality aspects in the Supplier Selection process
• Deploy and follow-up on the SE related KPI’s towards the suppliers and SQ engineers
• Ensure the annual definition of the quality improvement plan (QIP) for strategic/preferred BOM suppliers based on business needs, ensure timely implementation
• Exercise judgement and influence on key procurement decisions (e.g. standards and policies, vendor selection, cost, contractual clause) within the team
• Actively driving reduction in supplier caused defects and driving analysis and Supplier Corrective actions for vendor caused defects
• APQP plan development, execution, monitoring and control as part of Sustaining Changes.
• Supplier performance monitoring, reporting, improvement and development
• Accountable for Supplier quality risk assessment and mitigation
• Assess and coordinate Supplier Change Requests

• Bachelors/master’s degree in medical technology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field
• Knowledge of the relevant regulations in the medical technology environment (21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, MDD/EUMDR)
• Knowledge of the application of common quality methods: PFMEA / DFMEA, APQP / PPAP, process validation IQ / OQ / PQ, MSA / Gage R&R, SPC, 8D and CAPA, Complaint handling

• Six Sigma qualification or experience as an auditor preferred
• Ability to drive Supplier Quality Improvement Projects from start to end
• Hands-on mentality and willingness to travel internationally (approx. 20%)
