Intro
We are looking for an experienced Agile IT Transformation Coach to support the department-level implementation of agile ways of working within our customers IT organization. Each coach will be embedded in one IT department (30–50 employees) and serve as a direct contact for both team members and department leadership.
The ideal candidates bring hands-on coaching experience, strong facilitation skills, and the ability to tailor agile practices to different maturity levels.
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 12–18 months
- Location: Remote, with limited onsite workshops in Germany
- Language: English (fluent), German, Romanian or Portuguese a plus
- Contract Type: Freelance
- Capacity: 80%+
Tasks
- Act as dedicated Agile Coach for one of three IT departments (30–50 employees)
- Support the introduction and continuous improvement of Jira, Confluence, and agile practices across teams
- Help design and moderate team and department-level meetings, retrospectives, and planning sessions
- Coach department leaders and team members on agile mindset, methods, and collaboration practices
- Translate outcomes from quarterly organizational development meetings into department-level initiatives
- Adapt coaching style to different maturity levels (from agile beginners to advanced teams)
- Ensure alignment with the Head of Agile Transformation Management and other department coaches
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as an Agile Coach or Scrum Master in IT organizations
- Proven success in coaching both teams and department-level IT leadership
- Strong facilitation and moderation skills for meetings and workshops
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
- Excellent communication, empathy, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with scaled agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS, or similar) desirable
- Structured, pragmatic, and motivating working style
