Join our Global Network Operations Programs (GNOP) team as a Senior Business Analyst, driving our Denied Party, Sanctions, and Embargoes (DPSE) compliance efforts. This role supports the design, enhancement and governance of trade compliance systems and processes, aligning DHL’s global operations with evolving regulatory requirements.
The Senior Business Analyst – DPSE plays a key role in understanding regulatory and compliance requirements, defining business solutions, and ensuring changes are successfully integrated into DHL’s global network. The role encompasses:
- Compliance process automation
- Risk mitigation and regulatory adherence
- Business rules and IT systems alignment
You will collaborate across Legal, Compliance, IT, and Operations to deliver robust, governance-led compliance solutions within the Express Global Applications Portfolio (EGAP).
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
Compliance & Regulatory Analysis
- Serve as SME for denied party screening, sanctions, and embargo compliance
- Assess and interpret global regulatory changes (OFAC, BIS, UN, EU sanctions)
- Define automated screening processes and workflows
- Collaborate with Legal and Compliance to ensure full regulatory alignment
Product & Process Management
- Lead enhancements of DPNEXTGEN tools
- Develop business cases and project briefs for compliance IT solutions
- Align with GBIT, Trade Compliance Centres, and regional ops teams
- Manage cross-functional working groups
User Engagement & Deployment
- Conduct global compliance reviews and validation
- Design training programs for compliance stakeholders
- Support Development SPRINT testing, UATs and solution deployment
Post-Implementation & Monitoring
- Oversee post-deployment reviews and data quality controls
- Develop corrective action plans and contingency procedures
- Monitor system performance and reduce false positives
Do you have what it takes?
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
- Business process analysis and regulatory impact assessment experience
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, communication, and facilitation
- Familiarity with compliance, risk management, and automation tools
- Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and project methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2)
- Strong command of English (written and verbal); able to influence at senior levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and process modeling tools
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (in Compliance, Business, Law, International Trade, or related field) or related business experience
- 5+ years’ experience in trade compliance, sanctions, regulatory risk roles or equivalent operations experience
- Experience in process automation, business analysis, and IT solution delivery
- Relevant certifications considered: ACAMS, CUSECO, or equivalent
- Global or regional experience in regulatory environments is a plus
