Starting from April 1st 2026, the Institute of Sustainable Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry group is looking for a

• You will conduct research in the field of enzymatically triggered drug release for the prevention of implant complications as part of subproject B01 of the Collaborative Research Center TRR 298 "SIIRI.” In particular, you will synthesize and characterize polymers and apply them as coatings to model implants
• You will publish research results in international journals and participate in national and international conferences
• You will support university teaching (preparation and implementation of courses as well as supervision of student work).

• You have completed a doctorate in chemistry or a comparable subject
• You have experience in chemical synthesis, particularly of complex polymers
• Knowledge of biomedical applications of polymers is an advantage
• You are flexible, resilient, and able to work well in a team
• You are fluent in English.
