As Senior Operations Manager at SAL Heavy Lift, you will play a vital role in ensuring the professional, cost-efficient and reliable execution of our vessel operations. From port calls to voyage monitoring, documentation, and close coordination with partners worldwide – you will accompany our heavy-lift fleet throughout its journeys and help maintain the high standards of SAL Heavy Lift.

Your responsibilities:

• To ensure professional, cost efficient and reliable execution of vessel voyages under simultaneous verification of all agreed terms and conditions
• Arrange port calls in good manner
• Vessel performance monitoring
• Voyage / Port relevant documentation i.e. bills of lading
• Laytime calculation
• Invoicing as per charter party terms and conditions
• Port agency management / area management including possibility of traveling
• Active communication with other departments, overseas offices and external parties

Your profile:

• Completed education in commercial sea transportation
• Professional experience, ideally in the heavy-lift or breakbulk industry
• Strong teamwork skills; thrive in a diverse and multicultural environment
• Open-minded, proactive and enthusiastic personality
• High level of personal integrity and responsibility
• Service-oriented, structured, and responsive working style
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented and dedicated to excellence
• Knowledge of C/P terms and conditions and their execution
• Fluent in English and German, spoken and written
