Your Tasks
- Contribute to In-Orbit Servicing, Active Debris removal und Rendezvous and Docking projects and applications
- Analysis of customer-, mission- and system requirements, including support of a functional analysis, definition of a specification tree and identification of proposed adaptations
- Requirements Engineering by flowdown of requirements to platform and subsystem
- Monitor the compliance to requirements. Coordination with the Project Chief Engineer and Project Management and to initiate suitable measures
- Support to trade-offs, analysis and definition of mission- and system architecture
- Contribution to the definition and design of space systems including mission- and system design, analyses and design of entire space systems, subsystems and their specifications
- Responsibility for the management of system level budgets
- Contribution to interface and budget management of respective domain
- Technical coordination of subsystems (e.g. impact investigation for requirements changes) by order of the Project Chief Engineer
- Technical coordination of subcontractors by order of the Project Chief Engineer
- General support and direct reporting to Project Chief Engineer
- Support the corresponding system design reviews and the verification planning
- Support implementation of agreed changes to the design and deliverables, e.g. for Request for Waiver or Request for Deviation or Non-Compliance Reports
- Contribute to system and subsystem level verification in the definition of test plans, test procedures and review of test results
- Establish relevant project documentation by managing contribution and documenting own work scope
- Contribution to the elaboration of proposals for ADR & servicing missions
Your Qualifications
- Completed studies (Diploma or Master) in aerospace engineering or equivalent qualification
- General knowledge of system engineering
- Knowledge of requirements analysis
- Knowledge of preparation of specifications
- Knowledge of the definition of space system architectures
- Knowledge of interface management
- Knowledge in GNC and RvD is an asset
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and communicate in complex collaborations
- Creativity
- Solution orientation
- Very good English skills
- Good German skills would be an asset
