As part of our SAP Competence Center the SAP Solution Architect is responsible for designing and governing scalable, integrated, and future-ready SAP S/4HANA solutions across pharmaceutical manufacturing and logistics. The role focuses primarily on core business processes in Production, Maintenance, and Quality, ensuring a seamless integration with the Master Data Management System (MDM), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and other SAP and non-SAP applications. The architect drives modernization through SAP BTP, cloud technologies, and intelligent automation – supporting digital transformation, operational excellence and regulatory compliance across global supply chains.

Your tasks:

• Define and maintain the end-to-end solution architecture, ensuring scalability, security and alignment with enterprise standards
• Design modular, extensible solutions leveraging SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP and modern technologies (e.g. Fiori UX, cloud integration, AI / ML, IoT)
• Lead architecture for manufacturing and logistics processes, ensuring seamless integration across SAP Modules (PP, MM, WM) and compliance with GMP
• Optimize workflows for batch management, serialization, production execution and quality control while maintaining a Clean Core approach.
• Ensure robust integration and interoperability with LIMS, MES and other core systems
• Design compliant solutions adhering to GxP, CFR Part 11, Annex 11, ISO 27001 and support validation, audit readiness and architecture practices
• Drive governance and oversight across program and project lifecycles, securing architectural quality and harmonization across global sites
• Translate business requirements into scalable digital capabilities; facilitate workshops, roadmaps, and cross-functional alignment with senior stakeholders
• Provide thought leadership on modernization, emerging technologies and life science best practices

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience as an SAP Solution Architect in a regulated manufacturing or life science environment
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP)
• Strong background in designing, implementing and maintaining SAP core manufacturing and logistics modules
• Proven experience in ISA-95 integration frameworks, particularly across MES (Level 3) and ERP (Level 4 / 5) systems
• Strong architectural mindset with deep understanding of end-to-end manufacturing, quality and supply chain processes
• Skilled in balancing compliance and innovation while ensuring secure, value-driven designs
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and cross-functional facilitation skills
• Fluency in German and English
