Make your mark for patients

We are looking for a Chemical Compliance Lead who is proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative to join our Global Product Safety Stewardship team, based in Belgium (at our UCB campus located in Braine-l'Alleud or at the Headquarters in Anderlecht).

About the role

You will lead UCB’s global chemical compliance efforts, ensuring our product portfolio meets evolving regulatory requirements. You’re going to shape sustainable chemical practices and drive compliance excellence across our operations.

Who you will work with

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies worldwide. You’ll report to the Global Product Safety Stewardship Lead and work closely with packaging, device, and manufacturing teams.

What you will do

• You will lead global compliance processes for REACH, CLP/GHS, and other chemical regulations.
  • You will be responsible for reporting restricted substances across UCB’s global product portfolio.
  • You will manage chemical data submissions and ensure timely updates of regulatory dossiers.
  • You will support internal audits and training to strengthen chemical compliance culture.
  • You will collaborate with suppliers and CMOs to ensure alignment with UCB’s chemical standards.
  • You will monitor regulatory trends and provide strategic insights to guide sustainable innovation.

For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills

• MSc in Chemistry or related field with strong regulatory knowledge.
  • 10+ years of experience in a multinational environment.
  • Proven expertise in REACH, TSCA, CLP, GHS, and global chemical laws.
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading global initiatives.
  • Proficiency in chemical data management tools and regulatory reporting systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage diverse internal and external stakeholders.
