Bring battery cell quality to the next level to reduce scrap rates by boosting an own developed measurement method. After being founded and prototype being developed in 2023, first pilot partners, Pre-Seed Funding and first hires followed in 2024 and early 2025. What You’ll Do
We are seeking an Software Engineer with expertise in programming for constrained platforms to join our engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, scalable software solutions for Limatica’s battery diagnostics platform
- Create APIs, backend services, and user interfaces to support data-driven workflows and hardware integration
- Collaborate with hardware, ML, and embedded teams to ensure seamless integration of software components
- Implement clean, maintainable, and testable code with a strong focus on performance and reliability
- Build tools for visualizing, analyzing, and managing large-scale battery data
- Contribute to defining software architecture and selecting appropriate technologies for new features
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues across the stack
- Participate in code reviews and continuously improve development processes and best practices
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a highly skilled and hungry Embedded Systems Engineer who brings the following:

Academic Background
in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field

Strong Programming Skills:
Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript with experience in:
- Experience with Rust, Python & C++ are mandatory
- REST APIs and WebSocket communication
- Version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows (GitLab CI/CD beneficial)
- Optional: Embedded system integration
- Optional: Backend frameworks

Professional Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in software development, ideally working on systems involving data processing or hardware-software integration

Problem-Solving Mindset:
Ability to design elegant solutions to complex technical challenges

Flexibility & Adaptability:
Comfortable working across the stack – backend, frontend, and occasionally interfacing with hardware

Team Player Mentality:
Strong collaboration skills to work closely with engineers and founders in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment
