We at Energize have partnered up with one of Germany’s leading DIY and home improvement retailers, known for its strong commitment to sustainability, innovation, and digital transformation. With over 300 stores and thousands of employees nationwide, the company is currently undergoing a major IT modernisation programme centred around SAP S/4HANA and cloud-native technologies.

In this role, you’ll act as a trusted inhouse consultant, supporting internal departments in optimising article master data and related SAP MM processes. You'll work cross-functionally in an agile environment to shape the backbone of retail operations—from procurement to logistics and product lifecycle. With a mix of strategic planning, hands-on configuration, and data management, you’ll have a direct impact on digital excellence and operational efficiency.

You will:

• Advise product‑ and IT‑teams on master‑data management for articles (MM module) across processes

• Design, configure, and extend SAP standard for master‑data structures (customising)

• Analyse data volumes in SAP tables/HANA, detecting areas for optimisation

• Define and oversee data interfaces and replication (IDs for articles, conditions, business partners)

• Collaborate in agile teams to evaluate complexity, build solutions, and test functional and technical deliverables

You have:

• Degree in (Business) Informatics, Business Administration or equivalent IT-qualified background

• Strong understanding of SAP MM article master‑data and its role in retail/logistics

• Hands‑on experience with SAP MM master‑data configuration, ideally in S/4HANA migrations

• Comfort working with large data sets; SQL skills are a plus

• Analytical mindset, solution‑oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills

• Team‑player attitude, proactive, and service‑focused
