We are seeking an experienced EHS Engineer to play a key role in providing Occupational Safety expertise to support the team in Vevey EHS management system implementation, Vevey EHS strategy deployment, risk mitigation programs and develop EHS culture and capabilities under compliance of the company Merck standards and Swiss EHS regulations.
Your role:
EHS Engineer for the appointed area/s and subject matter expert (SME) for the disciplines assigned.
To support and deploy key EHS programs related to:
- EHS compliance
- Workplace risk assessment, risk mitigation and continuous improvement
- Incident investigation
- EHS culture
- Audits
- Training
- Communication
- Performance monitoring
To develop, implement, and oversee key EHS programs related to:
- Lock Out /Tag Out and machinery safety
- Dangerous goods
- Fire safety
- Other disciplines assigned through the Duty Holder framework
Scope: Vevey Campus
Your profile :
- 5 or more years of hands-on experience in developing, implementing, and operating EHS risk assessments, exposure assessment, and hazard control practices
- Proficiency in projects EHS design review, new equipment safety review, and facility integration
- In-depth knowledge of ISO Standards, and Health & Safety Swiss legislation
- Degree in Engineering (Chemistry, Biology), Occupational Health and Safety, or related field
- Safety Engineer Degree recognized in Switzerland
- Dangerous Goods Advisor Certificate
- Fire safety Degree recognized in Switzerland
