Your Key Responsibilities
- Driving Innovation and Excellence
• Create tailored taste solutions for innovation and customer projects utilizing established raw materials and novel, cutting-edge ingredients.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and develop new Brown & White ingredients, while effectively applying your expertise across all tonalities when required.
• Conduct performance evaluations for flavor components and compositions to ensure maximum impact in various applications. - Expertise Development and Knowledge Generation
• Explore and document interactions between chemical and sensory properties to optimize flavor composition.
• Lead efforts to manage and refine the global portfolio of raw materials, ensuring access to high-performance ingredients from both internal and external development partners. - Business Leadership and Growth
•Oversee key customer projects, guiding regional Flavorist teams to achieve high success rates through innovative and impactful flavor solutions.
•Strengthen customer relationships by providing technical support, tailored product presentations, and strategic advisory to product management teams and sales organizations. - Global Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
• Work closely with colleagues across disciplines (including application teams, analytical labs, sensory, and consumer science experts) to design application-specific solutions. • Co-manage the "Brown & White Platform” with Product Managers, ensuring agile global communication and expertise exchange. - Fostering Expertise Through Training
• Champion the professional development of the flavorist community in Brown & White tonalities by delivering masterclasses and training sessions aligned with the Taste Academy framework. - Leadership at the Interface of Science, Application, and Creativity
•Serve as a functional leader within the organization, representing the company’s values and vision with a customer-focused and consumer-driven approach.
Your Profile
- Extensive experience as a senior flavorist, with a mastery of chemistry and technology and exceptional sensory skills.
- A strong entrepreneurial mindset and passion for creating innovative, sustainable taste solutions.
- Proven experience with flavor creation across all tonalities, with a specific focus on the Brown & White category.
- Comprehensive expertise in Brown & White-related ingredients, with a major emphasis on thermal reaction flavors, enzymatically modified ingredients, and cocoa, coffee, and vanilla extracts.
- In-depth knowledge of food chemistry, flavor regulations, and food science.
- Willingness to relocate to Darmstadt, Germany (Frankfurt area), to be at the heart of innovation and global collaboration.
- A university degree in food chemistry, food technology, or equivalent field.
- An innovative, structured, and results-oriented work style, with a high level of initiative.
- Professional proficiency in English, alongside robust communication and project management skills.
