Your role:

As a Senior Scientist (all genders) in the dynamic Patient Centric Formulation Team within Excipients R&D at Life Science, you will take the lead in establishing innovative capabilities to study virus stability and optimize fit-for-purpose analytical methods for viral vectors used in gene therapy. You will have the opportunity to design and execute experiments, perform assays to thoroughly characterize formulations, and interpret data to inform critical next steps. Your findings will be presented to interdisciplinary, global audiences, showcasing your expertise and insights.

In this role, you will collaborate with diverse departments worldwide, fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation while operating with a high degree of independence. We are looking for a highly curious and proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses exceptional communication skills.

Who you are:

• PhD in Virology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.

• Initial working experience, such as a Postdoctoral Researcher or in a comparable role.
• Experience with AAVs is mandatory; experience in formulation development is ideal; experience with lentiviral systems is a plus.
• Creative, curious mindset with experience in project management.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively without close supervision.
• Strong communication skills; able to present results to scientific, management, and commercial audiences.
• Fluency in English; German is desired.
