Qualifications

• Master's degree in data science or a related field (e.g. STEM, mathematics, quantitative economics) or doctorate with a quantitative/empirical focus.
• Relevant experience in data science/machine learning
• Experience in developing and applying complex optimization models – linear, integer, nonlinear or heuristic
• Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking, team orientation
• Advanced practical and methodological knowledge of econometrics/statistics (machine learning or nonparametric statistics). Knowledge of causal inference is advantageous.
• Proficient in Python or R. Additional programming languages are a plus (e.g. C/C++, GAMS, Stata, MATLAB).
• Very good communication skills in German and English (spoken and written)
