Definition working student

Working students are students who are enrolled at a University or some other institution of higher education, and who are employed in a reasonably long, fixed-term position parallel to their studies. This position must not be confused with an internship or with the possibility of writing a final thesis.

This employment usually takes place directly on the company's premises. A working student's main focus remains on their studies, which is why, during term-time, working students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per w eek.

Working students therefore usually work near their place of study, so as to conveniently combine studying and employment.

Your location

At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Analyse existing engineering processes and identify use cases for generative AI to enhance daily business.

• Conceive, create, and implement specialized AI assistants to support tasks like onboarding new employees, researching certification regulations (E.g. EASA/FAA), or summarizing technical documents.

• Develop a structured storage and distribution concept for the created AI tools to ensure easy and intuitive use within the team.

• Conduct interviews and workshops with the department's engineers to understand their requirements and develop tailored AI solutions.

• Create usage guidelines and best practices to ensure a responsible and effective application of the AI tools.

Desired skills and qualifications

• Enrolled full-time student in Engineering (e.g. Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering), Computer Science or a comparable field of study

• Strong enthusiasm and high motivation for artificial intelligence, new technologies, and their practical application beyond the casual use of chatbots.

• Fluent in German and English

• Analytical mindset and the ability to understand complex processes and identify potential for optimization.

• Structured, independent way of working and strong communication skills for collaboration with various stakeholders.
