For this position, we are looking for a student assistant for method development and validation of multi-omics approaches using liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). The aim is to develop a robust experimental bioanalytical pipeline for metabolomics, lipidomics and proteomics from one sample. Different sample types will be assessed including cell cultures and animal tissue models.
Your tasks:
- Systematically testing different extraction protocols for a multi-omic approach
- Method development and validation with mass spectrometry analyses
- Planning and conducting experiments independently and in collaboration within a team
- Data processing and analysis, with feedback reports to groups involved
Your profile:
- Bachelor degree in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Food Chemistry or similar topic
- Experience in analytical sciences, particularly good understanding and hands-on experience with LC-MS, is desirable
- Ability to work in a structured manner, independently and within a team
- Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
The position is initially limited to 6 months within the framework of the Wissenschaftszeit-vertragsgesetz, with a working time of 8 hours per week. It is remunerated as a mini-job.
