The Automation Engineer (m/f/d) is responsible for providing expertise and resources for specification, design and implementation work for automation software configurations.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager, NPT 1 and is part of the Systems Engineering department located in Dreieich and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

• Providing expertise and resources for specification, design and implementation work for automation software configurations.

• Expertise and resources for integration and build of automation software configuration releases and preparation of software configurations as a deliverable.

• Maintenance and development of procedures/processes that control the development and testing of automation software configurations.

• Design and implementation of user interfaces for automation software configurations.

• Design and implementation of algorithms and functions in automation software configurations according to technical specification.

Who you are:

• MSc or similar education in the automation/software area.

• Overall experience of a few years in automation design and from development of SCADA/HMI controlled bioprocess systems.

• Experience from investigation, process improvements, line activities.

• Development and Implementation experience with automation technologies subjected to project needs that include: PLC programming, for example using Rockwell/Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Studio5000), Siemens TIA Portal, Codesys or similar and Configuration of automation software

• An understanding of the automation development process including tasks such as establishing requirements specifications and writing technical reports and documentation following standard methodology

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel – approx. 20% travel

• Valid driver's license class B

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience working in GMP environment

• Strong communications skills

• Strong collaboration skills

• Fluent in english and german beneficial
