Job Description
Shape the future of artificial intelligence for renowned industrial clients with us and join our team immediately (permanent full-time/part-time) as a DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) at our Dresden, Erfurt, or Rostock locations. We are convinced that automated data analysis and the use of AI will make today's production processes fit for the digital future. To this end, we are developing the IT system Detact® (detact.com). You can expect to work on exciting, high-end industrial processes for our globally operating clients and be part of a 30-person team of computer scientists, business information systems specialists, mathematicians, designers, and engineers.
Your new challenge:
- Management and maintenance of servers, networks and cloud infrastructures to ensure high availability and performance.
- Development and implementation of automation solutions for routine tasks in system administration, especially with Ansible.
- Building and maintaining Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to support software development.
- Implementation of monitoring and logging solutions to monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks and proactively troubleshoot problems.
- Implementation of security policies and practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the systems.
- Planning and implementation of backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity.
- Management of virtualization environments with Proxmox for the deployment and management of virtual machines.
- Providing technical support for client systems (Windows, Mac and Linux) and assisting users with IT-related questions and problems.
What you should bring:
- Completed studies in computer science, information technology or a related field, or comparable professional experience in IT administration.
- At least 3 years of experience in system administration or a similar role, ideally in a DevOps environment.
- Knowledge of Linux server administration (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat), including installation, configuration, and optimization.
- Understanding of network technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls and routing protocols (e.g. OSPF, BGP)
- Experience with Ansible for automating configuration management and deployment.
- Knowledge of Proxmox administration and virtual machine deployment.
- Experience in managing and supporting client systems under Windows, Mac and Linux.
- Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
- Desirable: Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automating administrative tasks
- Desirable: Experience with cloud providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their network and security services.
- Desirable: Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices
