What you will do:

Oversight of the identification and management of IT & Cyber Risk associated activities and operations across HSBC Continental Europe (HBCE) in Düsseldorf and Paris.

In this role you will

  • Close collaboration with IT and the business units on information security and partially on data privacy and third-party risk management
  • You will be part of a multinational team across Paris, Düsseldorf and London, with responsibility for all subsidiaries / branches across Continental Europe (e.g. Spain, Malta, Luxembourg, Czech Republic and Poland)
  • In cooperation with your colleagues in the Group, you will define information security policies and standards according to (EU) regulations
  • You will assess, if the business processes are in line with core information security controls and with information security standards
  • In the business units, you will check the adequacy of information risk management and guide your colleagues regarding possible improvement measures
  • You will prepare the IT risk analysis based on company-wide standards
  • Based on the training needs among the different departments, you will conduct trainings and use different communication measures to up-skill
  • You will review processes, applications, infrastructure, and service providers in regards to company-wide compliance standards
  • You will provide technical support for ongoing projects, e.g. the implementation of new core banking systems and transition of DORA

You should apply if you have

  • A successfully completed University Degree, (e.g. MBA, MSc., PhD) in a relevant discipline
  • Strong level of business management knowledge and experience of working in a senior role in Risk
  • Expertise in resilience risk perimeter with good understanding of information systems
  • Expert knowledge of IT & Cyber security standards and guidelines
  • Strong level of risk management knowledge and relevant working experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the external environment (risk, regulatory, geopolitical, competitor etc.)
  • Being open to travel between Paris and Düsseldorf on a regular basis (a few times per year)
