Join us in making a difference
Our Quality Assurance team ensures that our core web application can continue to evolve efficiently while maintaining reliability, excellent quality and making sure that new features are in the best possible shape before being released. You will be part of a team of 10 Quality Assurance Engineers, who work across different engineering teams developing our frontend website. You will be responsible to ensure that new features, bug fixes and technical changes are integrated seamlessly into the website. You will expand, improve and maintain our test automation suites and frameworks, by collaborating with other QA and Test Automation Engineers. Another essential aspect of your role will be monitoring and analyzing diverse data (e.g. product metrics, error logs, automated test results) to debug issues or detect hidden problems. We’re looking for someone who is highly motivated, proactive and detail-oriented to join our team and shape the quality of trivago’s website.
Are you ready to make an impact? Then we want to hear from you!

How you’ll make an impact:
Working as part of a highly agile, multidisciplinary team, you’ll be tasked with testing changes to our core products, which can range from user-facing frontend feature changes to entirely new complex backend infrastructure setups.
Identify defects by using manual/exploratory, automated and regression testing, as well as by performing data analysis using business intelligence tools. It will then be up to you to determine when new changes are ready to be shipped to our users.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our core web application.
Effectively communicate with different stakeholders and clarify expectations regarding the progress and status of upcoming product changes.
What you’ll need to thrive:
5+ years experience with manual and exploratory testing for the frontend of websites/software projects and hands-on experience with test automation, Selenium and Java (or any other OOP language).
Solid understanding of web-based technologies e.g. HTML, CSS, JS, JAVA, GIT and APIs (learning on the job is also provided and encouraged).
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.
An impeccable eye for detail that allows you to spot even the smallest errors and unintended changes to our website.
Excellent communication and coordination skills so you’re able to manage diverse stakeholder expectations diplomatically and collaborate efficiently within large, dynamic teams.
Being open to change and relishing new challenges: adapting to new processes and structural changes as part of a highly-agile environment.
What you can look forward to:
As you grow, so do we.
