Being part of HSBC in Düsseldorf, you’ll help evolve and grow our business as a Sales Manager (m/f/d) within the Sales Team.

What you will do:
In this role you will lead institutional clients and corporates with strategic impact. You will be involved in high-profile Request for Proposals (RfPs) and tailored solutions across traditional and alternative asset classes. You will work in an entrepreneurial team culture with close collaboration across European teams and functions. Your everyday performance will have a direct contribution to the firm’s growth and market expansion.
In this role you will
- Lead strategic sales initiatives to expand the footprint with institutional investors and corporate clients
- Build and deepen long-term relationships with pension funds, insurers, corporates, and other key institutional stakeholders.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities through targeted prospecting and market development
- Design and execute strategies for business and revenue growth
- Manage the full Request for Proposal (RfP) process in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality responses
- Represent the firm in strategic dialogues, industry forums and conferences as well as monitor industry trends, competitive landscape and regulatory changes to refine sales strategies
- Ensure pipeline management, reporting, and execution of sales plans against defined targets
You should apply if you have
- Deep understanding of investment funds and products across asset classes
- Strong network among institutional investors and corporates (e.g. pension funds, insurers etc.) and a high degree of client orientation and relationship-building skills
- Solid experience in managing RfPs and complex sales processes
- Proven track record in institutional sales within financial services and/or KVG business / asset management
- Strategic sales mindset combined with strong execution and closing skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills at senior stakeholder level as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a transforming and dynamic environment
- Fluent German and English language skills
