Our Service Desk team within Content Data Quality & Governance is looking for a detail-oriented working student to join our dynamic environment. You’ll be part of a team that ensures the quality and accuracy of our hotel content data, working with various stakeholders across trivago to maintain high data standards and resolve content-related issues.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Analyze and monitor content data using SQL to identify inconsistencies and maintain high quality data standards
• Proactively investigate and triage data anomalies, working closely with engineers to ensure timely resolution of content quality issues
• Support our data engineering initiatives by contributing to data quality practices and helping maintain clean, structured data pipelines
• Drive efficiency by helping to automate and optimize existing manual workflows and processes
• Collaborate cross-functionally with content teams, data engineers, and key stakeholders to strengthen our data governance framework
• Take ownership of data quality monitoring and contribute ideas for continuous improvement

What you’ll need to thrive:

• SQL proficiency with the ability to write queries for data analysis and quality validation
• Strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for spotting data patterns and inconsistencies
• Collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for working in cross-functional teams
• Natural drive for process optimization and improving operational efficiency
• Ability to commit 20 hours per week for at least one year
• Current enrolment at a German university and living within commuting distance to Düsseldorf

Stand out with:

• Knowledge of Python for data analysis or automation
• Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
• Familiarity with ETL pipelines or data processing frameworks
