Company Introduction
We are currently recruiting for a Salesforce full-stack developer with experience in Java, Apex and RESTful API development for an exciting contract at our global client in the finance sector. . The role involves designing scalable Salesforce solutions, building high quality integration's, and contributing to automated testing and CI/CD practices across development workflows.
Required Skills/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* 5 years of development experience combining Salesforce (Apex, LWC, Visualforce) and Java.
* Strong experience in RESTful API design and backend service development.
* Hands-on proficiency in OpenAPI (OAS) and API documentation in YAML.
* Strong understanding of unit testing approaches for both Salesforce and Java components.
* Practical expertise with GitLab, branching strategies, and code review workflows.
* Proven experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
* Familiarity with integration patterns, data modelling, and relational databases.
* Clear understanding of Salesforce best practices, platform limitations, and performance considerations.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives:
- Design and develop Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Build and maintain backend components using Java and related frameworks.
- Develop and document RESTful APIs, ensuring high performance, security, and reusability.
- Create and maintain API specifications using OpenAPI Specification (OAS) / YAML.
- Build integration's between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs or custom integration frameworks.
- Write high-quality, testable code using unit testing frameworks (Apex Test Classes, JUnit, Mockito).
- Manage version control, branching, and code reviews using GitLab.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot application issues and perform performance optimisations within Salesforce and integrated components.
- Ensure adherence to Salesforce development best practices and compliance with governor limits.
