For the project zdi.NRW – Future through Innovation.NRW We are looking for a working student in the field of data science and machine learning to strengthen our team, who will support the transfer of future-relevant technologies such as AI into educational practice in the NRW-wide project and help to get new innovative digital tools rolling.

Your tasks

• AI solutions: Support in identifying possible applications of artificial intelligence and implementing innovative solutions in the zdi AI Lab.
• Development & implementation of data-driven applications: Collaborate in the creation and implementation of data-based AI applications and solutions, using programming languages ​​such as Python and database analysis with SQL or similar technologies.
• Prompt engineering: Support with prompt engineering
• Data entry, processing & visualization: Support with data entry, data maintenance and research activities.
• Helpdesk & Workshops: Helpdesk support and assistance in the preparation and implementation of workshops

You bring that with you

• Studies in computer science, data science, machine learning or comparable qualification.
• Basic knowledge in the development and implementation of machine learning and AI applications.
• Knowledge and practical experience with SQL, Python and relevant frameworks and libraries.
• Reliability and care in data processing
• Interest in digital topics, AI and data management.
• Enjoyment of agile methods and user-centered product development.
• Interest in the topics of (STEM) education, innovation and social change.
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working.
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment in designing digital projects.
