Join us as a Commodity Manager (f/m/d), where you will take ownership of your respective commodity, focusing on the relevant Business Area, Execution Unit, or Independent Managed Business (IMB). You will develop and implement a resilient strategy that aligns with our overall Ecosystem strategy and business objectives. Imagine leading the Commodity Circle, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring transparency in cost structures and spending. Your role will be pivotal in creating business-specific initiatives that drive managed spend and maintain a competitive supply base, all while contributing to our mission of innovation and sustainability.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage the commodity or commodities for your area of responsibility, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Define and implement sourcing strategies in collaboration with cross-functional counterparts and GCMs, providing valuable input for the ecosystem strategy.
- Lead the Commodity Circle, fostering teamwork and transparency in cost structures and spending.
- Create and execute initiatives based on the commodity strategy, driving managed spend and safeguarding awarding.
- Maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers, preparing and negotiating frame contracts and price lists to meet market requirements.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in procurement, ideally within a global organization, showcasing a proven track record.
- Strong commercial and technical understanding of procurement, project management, and international contract law.
- Experience in advanced international negotiations and strategic sourcing, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
- You are capable of working in multicultural teams and possess a strong understanding of procurement risks and opportunities.
- You welcome travelling across the globe (approx. 40 %).
