You’ll make an impact by 

• Defining, developing and implementing global IT category strategies across multiple domains, fully aligned with Siemens’ IT roadmap and business objectives.
• Leading, mentoring and growing an international team of category development professionals, fostering a culture of strategic thinking, digital innovation and professional excellence.
• Spearheading the AI Enablement initiative within the IT procurement department, driving the integration of Artificial Intelligence into procurement processes and building capabilities to procure cutting-edge AI solutions such as LLMs and proprietary vendor offerings.
• Conducting global market analyses, supplier landscape mapping and technology scouting to identify opportunities, risks, and innovations in IT categories.
• Integrating advanced digital technologies, AI applications and sustainable practices into category strategies to strengthen Siemens’ competitive edge.
• Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders (IT, business units, commodity management) to understand requirements and deliver maximum value through category strategies.

• Monitoring category performance with data-driven KPIs, preparing strategic reports and ensuring continuous optimization and compliance with relevant regulations.

This is how you'll win us over

• Education: 
• Master’s degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master) is a plus.
• Experience & Skills:
• 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management / Procurement with a strong focus on IT Category Management or Strategic Sourcing.
• Proven success in designing and implementing complex global category strategies and optimizing procurement processes.
• Strong track record in leading digital transformation initiatives and scaling innovative technology solutions, ideally including AI deployments beyond pilot stages.
• Deep knowledge of the IT market, supplier ecosystems and advanced technologies such as AI/Generative AI (LLMs), Cloud, Blockchain, IoT and Cybersecurity.
• Hands-on experience in procuring advanced technology solutions, negotiating with AI/software vendors and shaping supplier strategies.
• Experience in leading international, cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration across corporate functions.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to transform insights into impactful strategies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with proven ability to influence at senior levels.
