The municipal singing and music school has a main building in the center of Erlangen and 16 branches at municipal primary and secondary schools as well as a branch office. Around 2200 pupils are taught by 41 full-time and part-time teachers at the municipal singing and music school - in addition to the core subjects with a focus on elementary lessons at Erlangen's elementary school.

Your tasks:

• Establishment of a piano class with a focus on classical piano training in the function of head of the piano department
• One-to-one and possibly two-to-one lessons in the music school building (spread over at least two days)
• Coaching with music students
• Independent work, musically inspiring and creative lesson design
• Committed participation in events and departmental concerts
• Creating your own timetable, managing your own pool of students (also digitally)

Your profile:

• Completed artistic-pedagogical or artistic university degree in piano or a comparable degree as well as state-recognized music teachers
• Teaching experience at a high artistic level in beginner and performance level is desirable
• Openness to new pedagogical developments
• Experience with coaching children and young people is an advantage
• Enthusiasm, communication skills and the ability to work in a team
• IT and MS Office skills (Word, Excel)
