Take a leading role in driving the design, development, and implementation of secure IT and OT architectures for critical energy transmission systems. You will be responsible for integrating advanced systems and technologies to upgrade existing infrastructure, ensuring reliable, seamless, and secure operations that meet the highest standards for our customers.
Work within a flexible hybrid environment, balancing time between our modern office in Erlangen, the hands-on test lab in Forchheim/Nuremberg, and on-site commissioning at customer locations. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Designing future-proof IT/OT security strategies and concepts, creating test procedures for secure patch management with a focus on integrity and minimizing downtime
- Developing and implementing cybersecurity policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., NERC CIP, ISO/IEC 27001)
- Creating state-of-the-art IT and OT security concepts in innovative development projects
- Continuously expanding your knowledge by tracking technical developments and trends in IT and OT security
- Collaborating closely with various departments to implement and optimize security features and systems
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT Security, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering with a focus on IT Security, or a comparable qualification with extensive professional experience in IT or OT security
- Familiarity with relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards such as IEC 62443, CRA, NERC CIP, BDEW Whitepaper, ISO27001
- Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, TLS/SSL, 802.1X, as well as HVDC and FACTS applications
- Solid knowledge of IT administration (Windows Server, Active Directory, WSUS, virtualization) and many years of experience supporting problem solving in critical infrastructure environments
- Proven experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus) and performing comprehensive vulnerability assessments
- Excellent German and English skills, high initiative, communication skills, willingness to travel (approx. 30%), strong teamwork and pragmatic approach to technical challenges
